After many teaser images and the reveal of a rather tasty prototype, Acura has finally revealed the production model Integra.
The Acura Integra is said to sport compact proportions inspired by Integras of old. Up front, there's a frameless version of Acura's Diamond Pentagon grille, framed by head lights that sport a 'chicane' daytime running light pattern.
The Acura Integra also gets a sloping roofline that ends in a sporty fascia and dual tailpipes, emphasising the car's width. The single-piece LED taillights here as well as the embossed Integra nameplate front and rear all recall Integras of old.
Under the bonnet of the Integra lies a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine equipped with VTEC to produce 197bhp and 260Nm of torque.
This engine is paired to a CVT that offers simulated gear changes and comes with steering wheel-mounted shifter paddles are standard.
However, those that wish to row through the gear themselves can also opt for a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission equipped with automatic rev matching. Manual transmission-equipped cars will also get a helical limited-slip differential for more traction through the turns.
7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display in the cabin can be upgraded to a 9.0-inch item with the Technology Package A new coil type exhaust system adds an emotional exhaust sound that further enhances Integra's engaging driving experience.
In the cabin, the Acura Integra comes standard with body-stabilising and heated front seats wrapped in synthetic leather, available in either Ebony, Red or Orchid.
The Acura Integra also comes with the 10.2-inch Acura Precision Cockpit digital gauge cluster with multiple display modes and a 7.0-inch digital touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Customers in the U.S.A can opt for the Technology Package which increases the touchscreen size to 9.0-inches and adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, Alexa Built-In, Qi-compatible wireless charging and a 5.3-inch Head-Up Display.
The Acura Integra is manufactured in Ohio, U.S.A and will arrive at dealerships there in the first-half of 2022.
