A shadowy image of a red sports car has gone viral online in the last 24 hours. That car could very well be the highly anticipated Ferrari F70.
According to Ferrari F70 Facebook page, where the photo first appeared, this is indeed the Enzo successor. Another source reports that the picture was taken at a private party in China, supposedly tied in with Ferrari's recent 20th anniversary in the country.
Featuring what seems to be a Corvette-inspired front fascia, the F70 is rumoured to feature a 6.2-litre V12 engine with a HY-KERS gasoline-electric hybrid system, producing a combined output of 920bhp. It should enable the supercar to do the century sprint in under 2.5 seconds with a top speed in excess of 408km/h. The F70 will also ride on a new chassis incorporating four different types of carbon fibre, which is set to be some 20% lighter than the Enzo.
Ferrari has neither confirmed nor denied the news yet, so stay tuned for further details.
