Toyota has released details about its new 2026 Crown model, which will now be offered with two all-wheel drive hybrid powertrain options - the Toyota Hybrid System (THS) and the Hybrid MAX.
The THS option pairs a front and rear electric motor with a 2.5-litre engine, and its battery output supports responsive acceleration at low speed, providing a satisfying drive feel. The Hybrid MAX option is Toyota's performance hybrid that offers 345bhp and 542Nm of torque. Its system pairs a front and rear electric motor with a 2.4-litre engine and direct-shift six-speed automatic transmission.
This model will also be available in four different grades: XLE, Limited, Nightshade, and Platinum. While the XLE, Limited, and Nightshade grades are only available with the THS option, customers can choose between the THS and Hybrid Max on the Platinum grade.
Sitting on standard 19-inch or available 21-inch wheels, the 2026 Crown's body style has rounded and sweeping character lines, as well as Toyota's signature hammerhead front fascia with daylight running lights located at the front tip.
Its spacious cabin offers unique colour combinations and standard leather-trimmed seating, as well as standard heated, eight-way power adjustable driver and front passenger seats. Other interior features include a digital gauge cluster, piano key controls, and a vertical wireless charging port.
In addition, the latest Toyota Audio Multimedia system, which can be upgraded to an 11-speaker JBL Premium Audio system with a subwoofer and amplifier, is included on all grades except XLE.
All grades include a one-year trial for Remote Connect (4G dependent). With an active Remote Connect trial or subscription, Digital Key capability is standard on the Platinum grade and available as part of the Advanced Technology package on the Limited grade.
