A birthday bash not to be missed!
05 Dec 2008|10,685 views
From 3pm this Saturday, 6th December, the doors of the Singapore Grand Prix Pit Building will be opened to the public to view what's inarguably Singapore's sexiest line-up of super cars. Present for the event will be the Ferrari F40, the Ferrari F50 and, of course, the grand daddy Enzo Ferrari.
Also, feast your eyes on the 300 km/h Spyker C8 Laviolette SWB as well as the Henrik Fisker-designed Artega GT. The Spyker C8 Laviolette SWB is a 4.2-litre Audi-engined sports car made by the Spyker Cars, a Dutch company. The Audi V8 inside produces 400 hp and 480 Nm of torque, powering the 1,275 kg car from standstill to a hundred in just 4.5 seconds.
Henrik Fisker, who also co-designed the Aston Martin DB9 with Ian Callum, is the artist behind the Artega GT. The car, wholly produced in Germany by Artega, is the only model available from the company so far. Propelling the GT is a 3.6-litre V6 with 300 horsepower, mated to a six-speed DSG transmission from Volkswagen. It's no slouch, either. Zero-to-hundred times are managed comfortably in under five seconds and it will accelerate all the way to slightly over 270 km/h. Click play to listen to the Artega GT! Italian superbike maker, MV Agusta, as well as Cagiva will also be present at the show, alongside boat brands like Riva, Bertram, Viking, Bayliner and Trophy.
The exhibition will be opened to the public from 3 - 6pm on the 6th December (Saturday), and from 11am to 6pm on the 7th and 8th December (Sunday and Monday) for a fee of just S$5. All proceeds will be given to the MILK Foundation charity, and visitors can choose to donate more if they wish.
