Arden gives Jaguar XKR a makeover

Arden, who has a penchant for modifying British cars, has previously worked on Land Rovers, Minis and Bentleys. But they seem to have saved their best work for Jaguars, having done a tuning package for the XK already.

Now though, they have come up with another package for the new XKR, which includes performance upgrades and styling modifications.

They've managed to wring another 30bhp out of the already-powerful 5.0 litre supercharged V8 engine, bringing the output figure up to 540bhp. Torque has also been improved, with the Arden XKR now producing 675Nm of torque, enabling the car to soar all the way to a top speed of over 320km/h.

Most of the extra power comes as a result of an upgraded exhaust system that features new sport catalysts. Other mechanical changes include a new sports suspension and the removal of the electronic speed limiter.

Styling-wise, the Arden XKR gets a new chrome grille and modified air intakes, as well as a new diffuser at the rear which houses the custom-installed quad-exhaust pipes from the new exhaust system. 21-inch Sportline alloy wheels, bigger brakes, a leather sports steering wheel and a lowering system complete the package.
