AUDI E5 Sportback starts production and pre-sales in China

AUDI, Audi's new premium "China-only" EV brand, has announced that its E5 Sportback - first debuted at the 2025 Auto Shanghai - has rolled off its dedicated production facility in Anting, Shanghai.
The four-door AUDI E5 Sportback is a fully electric fastback that combines dynamic proportions, power outputs of up to 579kW, and a maximum range of 770km. Four distinct powertrains offer rear-wheel or quattro drive for a dynamic driving experience. Built on the new Advanced Digitised Platform (ADP), the E5 Sportback offers next-generation connected vehicle functionality and full-car over the air updates.
China-based customers can now preorder the E5 Sportback, with the first vehicles scheduled for delivery in September 2025. In addition, AUDI has also said that two additional models are slated to follow within the next two years.
