28 Sep 2012|3,101 views

Dubbed as the Q2 Crosslane concept, this model is essentially a two-door SUV with a 2+2 interior layout, although a production model is likely to see a five-door with normal interior cabin instead. The concept model rides on the MQB platform developed by Volkswagen and currently used by the A3, VW Golf VII among others. The concept is measured at 4250mm long, 1900mm wide and 150mm tall with a wheelbase of 2500mm.
Motivation comes in the form of an electric motor that produces 116bhp that draws its power from a battery, of which its capacity is presently unknown, while a 3-cylinder 1.5-litre with 132bhp works only as a generator so it doesn't drive the wheels. The range is expected to be along the lines of 128km.
What an amazing event the Paris Motor Show promises to be and one starts to wonder exactly how many cars are going on showcase with all the buzz surrounding the unveiling of new models, new concept studies and more. Audi, for one, is reportedly aiming to bring another Q model to the show.
