Audi has followed the reveal of new, plug-in hybrid variants of the Q5, close to nine months since the car first made its debut.
Available for both the Q5 SUV and the Q5 Sportback, the new e-hybrid quattro drivetrains are available in either a 270kW or a 220kW output. Both make use of a 248bhp 2.0-litre engine, paired with a 25.9kWh battery which can be charged at up to 11kW via an alternating current charger.
Opt for the 270kW and your Audi Q5 will sprint to 100km/h from a standstill in just 5.1 seconds, while the 220kW variants will do the same run in 6.2 seconds. The Audi Q5 e-hybrid is said to sport an electric-only range of 113km.
Both variants are said to make use of a 105kW electric motor, allowing the 270kW variant of the Q5 to deliver a total torque of 500Nm, while the 270kW variant, offers a peak torque of 450Nm.
Audi states that it has also worked on the regenerative braking performance of this drivetrain, so up to 88kW of power can be recovered and fed into the car's high voltage battery.
Those who opt for the 220kW variant of the Audi Q5 will get their car equipped with Audi's S sports suspensions as standard, alongside three-zone air-conditioning.
The 270kW variant, meanwhile, will get LED head lights alongside LED rear lights pro as standard. Both variants will also get the S line interior package, which sees the cars finished with sports seats as well as 19-inch light alloy aero wheels and getting red brake callipers as standard.
Boot space at the rear of the Q5 SUV e-hybrid quattro stands at 438 litres, which can be expanded to 1,358 litres with the rear seats folded down. The Q5 Sportback e-hybrid quattro, meanwhile, offers a total of 433 litres of cargo space, which is expandable to 1,300 litres.
Both plug-in hybrid models will be produced in San Jose Chiapa in Mexico, and will be available to order in Europe starting from June 2025.
