Just a week after it announced that it has delivered the first BAC Mono R in Saudi Arabia, the Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) has now announced that it has established three new sales divisions across Asia.
Two of the new divisions are located in Japan, while the third is in Taiwan, expanding the reach and scale-up of the British brand.
As part of this expansion, two BAC Mono Rs have been completed at the firm's Liverpool factory, and are now making their way to Japan to be featured in BAC's new Tokyo and Fukuoka showrooms. These two models are said to be the first and only of BAC's limited R models to land in Japan.
The first car, headed for Tokyo, comes in a striking deep purple-tinted visible carbon fibre, while the car set to be displayed in Fukuoka comes finished in a Robot White paint scheme.
Both cars, however, will first be displayed at the Automobile Council event between 14 to 16 April 2023 at the Makuhari Messe exhibition centre, which will mark the first public viewing opportunity of Mono R in Japan.
BAC states that Asia currently accounts for 33% of its total export volume, and its presence in Asia continues to grow, with demand for the Mono range in Hong Kong an Indonesia continuing to intensify, while its operations is Singapore and Malaysia have met with success. Japan remains BAC's second largest single market.
