Bentley Mulliner has revealed a limited edition series of Bentayga SUVs, inspired by Bentley's own Extraordinary Journeys - itself a series of curated global travel experiences designed to provide once-in-a-lifetime road trips, offering exclusive access to the very best of local cuisine, design, architecture, and wellness.
The collection of Bentaygas comprises of five vehicles, named and inspired by the regions of New Mexico, Scandinavia, China, New Zealand, and the U.K.
Scandinavia gets a Portofino blue exterior and White main hide in its cabin, inspired by the region's crystal clear fjords, seafaring tales, and sustainable architecture
New Mexico represents ruggedness and reverence, and comes in an Amber over Burnt Oak duo-tone paintwork and body-coloured wheels, alongside a tailored palette of Saddle, Camel, and Coral in its cabin and a Copper Stone veneer - tones which are associated with the Sangre de Cristo mountains and the vivid canyons and ancient rock formations through which Bentley leads its clients on an Extraordinary Journey towards Santa Fe.
Scandinavia, meanwhile, is said to foster a gratitude for natural beauty and ecological sensitivity, and comes in a Portofino blue exterior paint alongside the use of Mulliner White main hide, Imperial Blue secondary hide, and light blue Stratos accents in its cabin. A Slate Stone open-pore veneer is also utilised, said to bring to mind crystal clear fjords, seafaring tales, and the astounding sustainable architecture, wellness spas, and lagom lifestyle encountered on Bentley's five-day itinerary across Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.
China, meanwhile, comes with an Arabica exterior paint and an interior of Linen-coloured hide, inspired by the northwest of the country
There's also China, which represents serenity and relaxation through its use of an Arabica exterior paint, as well as an interior in Linen-coloured hide with Burnt Oak, Odyssean tweed accents, Gold Green stone veneer and Piano Burnt Oak veneer. This car is inspired by the northwest of the country, where Bentley's four-day Extraordinary Journey spans the Helan Mountains, the Alashan Gobi, the Yellow River, and the towering dunes of the Tengri desert.
New Zealand, meanwhile, is said to speak of awe and tranquillity, as well as the spirit of adventure. The car is painted in White Sand and sports brown and grey interior dominated by Portland main hide and secondary Burnt Oak, along with Highland Hare accents, dark green and bronze contrast stitching, and Jeera Green Stone veneer. These touches were chosen to transport the occupants on Bentley's Extraordinary Journey to the South Island, where they would drive through the Ahuriri Valley, stargaze at the soaring Southern Alps, and feast on New Zealand's celebrated gastronomy and viticulture.
Finally, the U.K.-inspired car gets an Alpine Green satin finish, and a selection of greens on the inside, all evocative of Bentley's winning heritage in endurance racing and the rakish Bentley Boys who brought about those hard-fought victories. Cumbrian Green, meanwhile, is also adopted to bring to mind the Lake District, which the U.K. Extraordinary Journey passes on its way from Crewe to the moody valleys of Scotland's Cairngorms and towards The Macallan whiskey distillery in Speyside.
