Bentley Motors has unveiled the Bentayga X Concept at the FAT Ice Race at Zell am See, developed to stimulate and gain feedback for an enhanced off-road capable Bentayga, whilst also celebrating the start of a new multi-year brand partnership with FAT International.
With the core Bentayga known for its breadth of abilities, the Bentayga Speed focussing on dynamism and pure speed, and the Bentayga Wheelbase concentrating on interior comfort, the Bentayga X Concept will build on another of the core Bentayga's capabilities: Off-road experience.
The Bentayga X Concept's larger tyres and increased track width and ride height contributes to its off-road prowess
This concept is based on a Bentayga Speed and is equipped with a 641bhp 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine, permanent four-wheel drive, and an eight-speed transmission. Air suspension is complemented by Bentley Dynamic Ride, Bentley's 48V electric active anti-roll control system.
But as for appearance, the concept's stance and presence has significantly changed from that of the Bentayga Speed. It sports 22-inch rims with large aspect ratio off-road tyres, a 120mm increase in track width, and a 55mm increase in ride height. It also comes with roof-mounted storage capabilities and four spotlights.
And joining the Bentayga X Concept at its unveiling are some of Bentley's latest creations, namely the new Supersports in Travis Pastrana's unique livery, as well as the newly announced Continental GTC S and Continental GT S.
