BMW and MINI integrate BBC Sounds in-car app

BMW and MINI drivers in the U.K. can now enjoy their favourite BBC podcasts, radio, and music more conveniently, as both brands become the first to integrate the BBC Sounds app directly into their vehicle's built-in app store.

This integration is only compatible with owners of vehicles powered by BMW and MINI's Operating System 9, and with a subscription to BMW Digital Premium or the MINI Connected Package, enabling unlimited data connectivity.

Upon completion of download, the BBC Sounds app will be fully integrated into the vehicle's UI and can be easily accessed via the All Apps (BMW) or Media Selection (MINI) menu screens. Currently, over 50,000 BMW and MINI vehicles on U.K. roads support the new app, with this figure expected to rise to around 150,000 by end 2025.
