BMW launches the new M6

BMW Asia has announced the launch of the new BMW M6 Convertible, which will retail at Munich Automobiles Pte Ltd. The new M6 Convertible comes with a high-revving twin turbocharged V8 engine that has an output of 560bhp and 680Nm of torque. All this power allows the car to complete the century sprint in just 4.3 seconds.

The new M6 Convertible bears sporty yet elegant lines of the new 6 Series with added powerful taut surfaces and athletic contours. The design language of the BMW M are influenced directly by technical considerations like air vents for cooling, chassis geometry and aerodynamics. The exclusive looks of the new BMW M6 Convertible is further underlined by the “fin” architecture of the high-quality soft-top roof.

The heated, rear glass window retracts independently and the automatic operation of the roof can be activated at speeds of up to 40km/h at the touch of a button on the centre console. An optional Comfort Access, allows the roof to be opened in 19s and closed in 24s by pressing the remote control button on the car key.

The M6 Convertible has an average fuel consumption of 10.3 litres/100km and CO2 emissions of 239g/km in the EU test cycle - a 30 per-cent reduction compared to its predecessor. This is achieved thanks to Efficient Dynamics technology, comprising Auto Start-Stop function, Brake Energy Regeneration and the volume-controlled oil pump.
