09 Feb 2013|5,654 views
BMW has expanded its model range with the introduction of the new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo. The 3 Series Gran Turismo has distinctive styling features starting with typical BMW proportions, four doors with frameless windws, a sloping roofline and a large, automatic tailgate.
Finishing off the cosmetics department will be an active rear spoiler - the first of its type on a BMW that matches function and fashion for visual lightness that also reduces lift at touring speeds. The BMW 3 Series GT is 200mm longer, and stands 81mm taller than the BMW 3 Series estate.
Generous space in the cabin allows the occupants to enjoy the vast space and unbeatable freedom of movement with the added joy of extra headroom.
The 3 Series GT is available in Sport Line, Luxury Line or Modern Line equipment packages; or with the optional M Sport package which will be available from July 2013. Customers can choose from an array of five engines - covering an output range of 143bhp for the 320i to 306bhp for the 335i. The two 2.0-litre diesel engines powering the BMW 320d Gran Turismo and BMW 318d Gran Turismo round off the line-up.
The rear-wheel driven 3 Series GT features either a six-speed manual or an optional eight-speed automatic. Both gearboxes are linked up with the fuel saving Auto Start-Stop function.
