At the 2025 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, BMW Motorrad unveiled its latest creation for the superbike segment: The BMW Motorrad Concept RR, heralded as the ultimate performance statement in terms of technology and design for the future generation of BMW RR models.
Guided and inspired by the BMW Motorrad factory superbike M 1000 RR, the Concept RR offers a true firework of superlatives for both street and track use. In terms of propulsion, the concept bike relies on the water-cooled, four-cylinder engine of the M 1000 RR that delivers more than 169kW (227bhp).
Accompanying this are the electronic control and regulation systems that come directly from the M 1000 RR, such as the engine management, traction control, and engine brake.
Using innovative manufacturing techniques, the BMW Motorrad Concept RR sets new benchmarks in lightweight construction, with every detail optimised for lightweight construction and performance. This includes its design, which features an embossed RR logo on its tail and an illuminated RR symbol on the downside of its delicate aluminium tail.
The BMW Motorrad engineers also placed special emphasis on aerodynamics, which resulted in the Concept RR having an unprecedentedly compact package, reduced external attachments, and enhanced precision of airflow through the motorbike's ventilated front to its monolithic, also-ventilated, aerodynamically-optimised rear.
