Want more performance still from your M3 Touring? There's good news: BMW is now building a new M3 CS Touring.
Sitting behind the aggressive front grille of this new model is a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine, as is found in the M3 CS. Delivering a total of 543bhp and 650Nm of torque, this unit puts its power to the road via an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and an M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, and allows the car to go from 0-100km/h in just 3.5 seconds, just 0.1 seconds behind the M3 CS Sedan.
The BMW M3 CS Touring stands out from the M3 Touring with its head lights that come with a yellow light and the use of red accents on its grille and rear spoiler
And it's not just about sheer power: BMW states that this engine also comes cradled within specially designed mountings with increased spring rates, which allows the model to deliver sharper response, while an M-specific exhaust system featuring electrically controlled flaps and a titanium rear silencer sits further aft of this engine, promising a drive sound that injects real aural drama into proceedings.
On the handling front, the M3 CS Touring gets adaptive M suspension with electronically controlled dampers featuring a model-specific tuning, as does its M Servotronic steering and integrated braking system. Customers can opt to raise body rigidity further by specifying the optional M front end strut brace for the engine compartment.
And for those curious, this model will still send all power to its rear wheels should you opt to deactivate its Dynamic Stability Control system.
The model gets M-specific displays on its 12.3-inch instrument cluster alongside M Carbon bucket seats in its cabin
On the exterior, the BMW M3 CS Touring stands out from the M3 Touring with the addition of a red contour line on the upper of the two horizontal grille slats, although the yellow accent lights within the head lights (inspired by the world of GT racing) probably will catch your attention first.
You'll note the M3 CS Touring also gets as standard exposed carbon fibre on its bonnet, front splitter, front air intakes, while at the rear, its roof spoiler also gets a red surround.
Inside, the model comes with electrically adjustable M Carbon bucket seats are fitted as standard for the driver and front passenger. These come with integrated head restraints alongside an illuminated 'CS' model badge and come finished in Merino leather. An M Alcantara steering wheel also features here, featuring a flat-bottomed rim and a red centre marker in the 12 o'clock position.
BMW M3 CS Touring can be ordered with a paint finish in British Racing Green, Laguna Seca Blue, Frozen Solid White or Sapphire Black metallic. Deliveries of the limited-run model are set to begin for customers in Europe, Australia, Japan and South Korea, among others, in March 2025.
