Chery confirms TIGGO 7 as second SUV to arrive in the U.K.

Joining the TIGGO 8, the TIGGO 7 will be Chery's second SUV destined for the U.K. market, and will be offered with a choice of two powertrains: A 1.6-litre ICE variant or a Super Hybrid variant.

The 1.6-litre engine option delivers an output of 145bhp and 275Nm of torque, enabling it to achieve a century sprint timing of 9.4 seconds and a top speed of 180km/h. Meanwhile, the Super Hybrid option is a plug-in hybrid offering a WLTP range of almost 1,200km. In addition, its 18.3kWh battery can be fast-charged from 30-80% in 20 minutes or be self-charged on the go.

Chery has said that the TIGGO 7 is a compact crossover SUV refined for U.K. buyers

The TIGGO 7's base Aspire grade features a multi-function synthetic leather steering wheel, dual-zone air-conditioning, adaptive cruise control, a six-speaker SONY audio system, and front and rear parking sensors. All of these are encompassed in a five-seater cabin.

Taking technologies and driver comfort to the next level, the Chery TIGGO 7 Summit models add an eight-speaker Sony audio system, ventilated first row seats, hands-free tailgate access, a heated steering wheel, and side mirror ground illumination.

All Chery TIGGO 7 models benefit from a curved dual-screen setup and comprise two 12.3-inch displays: One central one and the other in the instrument panel. Also found onboard are a 540° camera with a transparent chassis and door opening view, and three driving modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport). On the exterior, the TIGGO's design language has been extended with tiger's eye lights on the rear, crystal coloured IQ LED headlights, floating roof design, and a diamond front grille.

Chery U.K. has said that the TIGGO 7 will go on sale via a U.K.-wide dealer network in Q3 2025.
