Citroen has not revealed any specifications on the car's powertrain, but says that the DS High Rider is a "full hybrid" using a HDi engine with diesel particulate filter system (DPFS). The engine is mated to an electric motor at the rear axle, which can run on pure electric mode for short distances.
The DS High Rider takes some design cues, notably the headlights, from the Citroen C-SportLounge concept, but ditches the C-SportLounge's elongated look. The High Rider measures 4260mm long, 1820mm wide and 1480mm high, slotting in between the Mini Clubman and Subaru Impreza in size.
Among the unique design features on the Citroen DS High Rider concept include the 19-inch wheels, the "glossy golden" as well as the special fabric used for the roof, which is not expected to feature on the production model.
