Citroen unveils the new Grand C4 Picasso - the most efficient MPV in its class

Citroen has revealed first details of its seven-seater MPV - the Grand C4 Picasso. The new car is built on the new EMP2 (Efficient Modular Platform 2), which combines versatility of cabin space with cutting edge efficiency, brought about by a 110kg reduction in weight compared to its predecessor.
At 4,590mm, the latest model retains the same length as its forebearer. However, the new platform has allowed engineers to stretch its wheelbase to 2,840mm - the longest in its class.
This allows better cabin space utilisation. The MPV is now blessed with class-leading spaces in second and third row quarters, as well as an extra 69 litres of boot space, with room for 700 litres with the second row seats in forward position.
The Grand C4 Picasso also comes with a range of ultra efficient engines. For instance, the diesel e-HDi 90 powerplant sets a new record for its segment by emitting just 98g/km of CO2 and returning 31.6km/L in fuel economy.
Tasked to handle the power transfer to the front wheels is the new six-speed clutchless manual - ETG6 or six-speed Efficient Tronic Gearbox. All diesel-powered Grand C4 Picasso will also come with Stop & Start technology as standard.
