Cupra Tavascan gets equipment updates

The Cupra Tavascan, Cupra's first fully electric performance SUV, is getting a nice dose of equipment upgrades that should further cement its rebellious image and sporting intentions.

For those who've always wanted a bit of sound to accompany their spirited drives, the Tavascan is now getting a new "emotionally tuned interior sound signature" as standard across the lineup.

Activated when in the 'CUPRA' and 'Performance' drive modes, the sound experience is intended to enhance the driving experience by matching the throttle input of whoever's at the helm, as well as the speed of the car.

Also headlining the new additions is a new optional performance focussed 'Extreme Pack', which adds two-tone 21-inch forged alloy wheels, and 255mm front and rear performance tyres. (Cupra states that the forged wheels reduce the car's overall weight by 10kg.) The pack also adds CUP Bucket leather seats with heating and ventilation functions.

Finally, the Tavascan can now be opted for in a new Century Bronze matt paint coat on the outside - marking the first time the SUV will be available with a matt finish - as well as new steering wheel material that is animal-free.
