Up till July 2025, BYD - a name well-known among the EV circles - only sold fully electric vehicles. That is, until the Sealion 6 DM-i rolled into town. It’s the brand's first plug-in hybrid (PHEV) in Singapore and could potentially signify a shift in its strategies as it forges into the combustion engine market.
