Land Rover has announced that the new Defender OCTA is set to make its dynamic debut at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The new Defender flagship is set to get a twin-turbocharged V8 and will be unleashed on the hill climb course just a week after making its 3 July global reveal. The firm states that visitors to the festival will be able to witness both the car's all-terrain performance, and its outstanding body control enabled by its clever 6D Dynamics suspension technology.

Guests to the festival will additionally be able to join in on a Defender off-road experience - a purpose-built obstacle course designed to showcase the car's all-terrain capability. Younger guests between four and ten-years old will also be able to ride on mini-Defenders on a purpose-built course.
Range Rover, meanwhile, will display a host of vehicles including the Range Rover SV Burford Edition, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Velar and Range Rover Evoque all at the festival, while the Range Rover Sport SV will take on the hill climb.
Finally, Jaguar is set to feature an immersive film highlighting its storied history to mark its 75 years of making sports cars and 90 years of pioneering design, performance and innovation at its dedicated space at the festival. Jaguar Classic will show one of 14 restored and uprated, racing-inspired, E-type ZP Editions, while the 1988 Le Mans 24 Hours-winning XJR-9 LM from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust will be driven on the hill climb.
