Driver involved in four-car crash arrested

A car driver in his 60s involved in a four-vehicle accident on Sunday night that left two people injured has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
The Straits Times understood that he had failed to stop in time at a red light, at the junction of Upper Thomson Road and Sin Ming Avenue.
His car subsequently crashed into a taxi, which then collided with a van and only came to a stop on top of the bonnet of another car.
The cabby who suffered facial injuries and complained of back as well as chest pains was taken in an ambulance to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for treatment.
The arrested driver suffered cuts on his face but decided against hospital treatment.
None of the vehicles involved were carrying passengers. Police investigations are ongoing.
