Fans want to restore the Ghostbusters Ecto-1A to its heyday

Fans of the Ghostbusters film will find the Ecto-1A familiar - it is the vehicle which played a major role in the second sequel of the film. However, the actual car - a 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor ambulance - was left uncared for in the warehouse of the movie studio for the past years, and has naturally lost its shine.

Recently, fans of Ghostbusters have stated their intent to buy the vehicle and restore her to the heyday glory, or even better than her on screen appearance. The project was initiated entirely by the community of fans. A fund raising campaign has also been started, with a website specially created for supporters to sign a petition to Sony Pictures Entertainment - to allow the car to be purchased at scap price.

The website has already garnered ten of thousands of visitors since its startup earlier on 10^th October.
