Harley-Davidson introduces new limited-production model

Harley-Davidson has introduced the Fat Boy Grey Ghost model, the fifth installment in its Icons Motorcycle Collection.
This limited-production model celebrates the 35th anniversary of the introduction of the original Fat Boy motorcycle, which was intended to have a limited lifespan but instead, spanned three powertrain generations as well as a complete redesign of its Softail chassis.
The Reflection finish on the Fat Boy Grey Ghost was created using the physical vapour deposition (PVD) process, also known as thin film coating, and painted over with a standard clear coat finish. This PVD process can also be seen on the motorcycle's fenders and fuel tank, marking it the first time the process has been used on parts this large for a production Harley-Davidson model.
Chrome side covers add to the motorcycle's overall bright finish, which is complemented by a frame finished in a bright silver powder coat. Styling cues inspired by the original Fat Boy model include a round air cleaner, yellow accents on the lower rocker covers, powertrain covers, and tank console insert.
Powering the Fat Boy Grey Ghost model is a Milwaukee-Eight 117 Custom powertrain with an output of 75kW (101bhp) and 171Nm of torque. Three ride modes are available: Road, Rain, and Sport. The motorcycle is also equipped with safety features such as Straight Line/Cornering Antilock Braking System and Straight Line/Cornering Traction Control System, to name a few.
Other technological features include full LED lighting for the Fat Boy Grey Ghost's headlamp, taillights, and brake lights, as well as a five-inch console-mounted LCD display.
Harley-Davidson has said that the Fat Boy Grey Ghost model will be limited to 1,990 units globally, paying homage to the original 1990 Fat Boy.
