Faster deliveries in store from Deliveroo with firm co-sponsoring e-bicycles

On the one hand, faster food deliveries, but on the other, more e-bikes on our roads.

This is what we can all look forward to with Deliveroo Singapore's latest Power-Assisted Bicycle Upgrading Subsidy Scheme.

Announced on 12 October 2021, the scheme will see the firm sponsoring up to 50% of the cost of a new Power-Assisted Bicycle (PAB), capped at $500 for each rider. The move is not only said ease the financial burden of those delivering on its platform via regular bicycles of upgrading to a PAB, but also will allow them to increase their earnings by making more deliveries in a shorter time.

The $100,000 initiative will support up to 200 riders looking to upgrade their workhorses. Those concerned about their safety on bicycle lanes and on the roads can take heart in knowing that the selected rides will only be able to choose from Land Transport Authority-compliant PAB models from two suppliers, Mobot and Falcon PEV.
