Ferrari IPO rumours shot down by Ferrari CEO

Fiat, the parent company of Ferrari is in no need of the money the IPO generates, and this being Ferrari, we’re thinking numbers off the charts. Since last September Various sources reported to Reuters from September last year of Fiat being approached by multiple investment banks offering to list the exotic Italian supercar manufacturer on the Hong Kong stock exchange.
Long before Chrysler was bought over by Fiat, rumours went around over the possibility of a sale or IPO for cash. However this was denied by Montezemolo almost a year ago.
For quite some time there have been a huge number of rumours of Ferrari going public. However a report on a German newspaper reports that the flamboyant chairman of Ferrari, Luca di Montezemolo, has strongly announced that his company isn’t applying for an IPO. For now at least.
