Fiat 500 and 500C TwinAir line-up announced

The announcement means that the name TwinAir not only describes Fiat’s innovative two-cylinder turbocharged engine, but is also a new trim level. The 500 and 500C TwinAir models come with unique design features and added equipment.As expected, all Fiat 500 and 500C TwinAir models will be powered by Fiat’s 900cc TwinAir turbocharged powerplant that produces 85bhp and 145Nm of torque. The 500 TwinAir model can go from 0-100km/h in 11 seconds, and reach a top speed of 173km/h.
Among the styling additions to the Fiat 500 TwinAir models include satin chrome finish for the door handles, license plate holder and grille, black alloy wheels, and a sports kit consisting of a black tailgate spoiler and chromed exhaust tip. A piano black roof is also available as an option for the hatchback. Inside, the 500 and 500C TwinAir is upholstered in all-black, with satin chrome finish highlights on the dashboard. In addition, the sport seats are a mix of perforated leather and fabric.
There will be two equipment levels, the TwinAir and the TwinAir Plus. The TwinAir trim offers 15-inch Total Black alloy wheels, a sports kit, audio system with CD and MP3, ABS and EBD, 7 airbags, Start&Stop system, electric and heated exterior mirrors and a remote-controlled central locking system as standard.
TwinAir Plus meanwhile adds larger 16-inch wheels, manual air conditioning, leather covered steering wheel with radio controls, Blue&Me infotainment system, fog lights, ESP with ASR/MSR, brake assist and hill holder systems, to the features already found on the TwinAir model.
