Did you miss the Hyptec SSR that was showcased at the Singapore Motor Show 2026? Fret not, for you can now have a closer look at the record-breaking supercar at the GAC showroom, located at 24 Leng Kee Road.
The Hyptec SST will be showcased to the public from 17 January onwards. While it hasn't been confirmed on how long the car will remain at the showroom, fans of the car should try to make their way down as soon as possible as the car will only be here for a limited time.
The sleek shape of the Hyptec SSR isn't just for looks, it is purposeful as well, employing active and passive aerodynamic elements
Built on the same platform that underpins other cars in Hyptec's lineup, including the Hyptec HT, the Hyptec SSR has been extensively engineered for performance. Right from the moment you set eyes on it, you will notice the incredibly sleek and stylish shape of the car. But it isn't just designed to impress with its looks - developed through extensive wind tunnel simulation, the SSR features a signature 'wind-suction' design that employs active and passive aerodynamic elements. The result is incredible high speed stability on the race track.
True to the form of a high-tech supercar, the Hyptec SSR features extensive use of carbon fibre across its core structure and body panels to achieve exceptional rigidity while keeping weight to a minimum.
Another highlight of the car lies in its special battery - the Magazine Battery 2.0 has been engineered for track use, maintaining consistent power delivery thanks to advanced thermal control.
The unit being showcased is a Sprint Speed variant which puts out 900kW from three electric motors to all four wheels through a two-speed gearbox; 0-100km/h is a bewildering 1.9 seconds
The Hyptec SSR is offered in three variants, the Standard, Sprint Speed and Ultimate variants. The unit showcased here is of the Sprint Speed variant, which is equipped with all-wheel drive (the Standard is a rear-wheel drive model). Equipped with a triple-motor all-wheel drive powertrain with a two-speed gearbox, the Hyptec SSR puts out an incredible 900kw (1,207bhp), allowing it to complete the century sprint in just 1.9 seconds.
All these engineering feats has allowed the Hyptec SSR to secure the Guinness World Record for the highest drift speed by a pure electric vehicle, achieving 213.523km/h while maintaining a 30-degree drift angle for over 50 metres.
As understood, there are currently no plans to introduce the Hyptec SSR to the Singapore market in the foreseeable future, hence for those who are interested to get a closer look at the record-breaking supercar, this is the best opportunity for you to do so.
The GAC showroom is located at 24 Leng Kee Road, #01-03A, Singapore 159096, it is open from 10:00am to 7:00pm daily.
