1,207bhp Hyptec SSR debuts at 2026 Singapore Motor Show

And where better than the 2026 Singapore Motor Show, which runs from 8 to 11 January 2026, for its local debut? Worry not if you're unable to free up time this weekend, for the Hyptec SSR will also be part of a limited-time showcase - from 17 January 2026 onwards - at the GAC Showroom, located at 24 Leng Kee Road, #01-03A, Singapore 159096. The space's opening hours are from 10:00am to 07:00pm.

Though not as powerful as the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, 900kW (1,207bhp) of power is still very much impressive. Add a century sprint timing of 1.9 seconds and the Guinness World Record for the highest drift speed, and you've got a car that shows how far advanced electric engineering can be pushed.

And throughout its development, the Hyptec SSR combines a host of industry-leading breakthroughs to channel ambition into pure electric performance.

This includes advanced aerodynamic control by way of its "wind-suction" design, extensive use of carbon fibre across its core structure and body panels for maximum performance, and a track-ready battery that supports stability and endurance under demanding performance conditions.

Positioned at the pinnacle of the Hyptec range, GAC has said that the SSR acts as a platform for advancing breakthrough EV technologies, with the engineering knowledge gained directly shaping how these technologies are developed and integrated across the Hyptec lineup.

Interestingly, you'll note that the gull-winged Hyptec HT is built atop of the very same AEP 3.0 platform underpinning the SSR - a testament of the high standards to which the electric SUV have been built.
