Grab introduces new '$0 Rental Plan'

Buying a car in Singapore can be incredibly expensive. That's why some drivers, who need the utility and convenience of one, have turned to rental cars. That said, renting also comes with its associated costs.

To help with this, Grab has organised its inaugural marketplace that not only allows people to rent a car at competitive prices, but also offers a special plan called Grab's '$0 Rental Plan'.

With it, all a driver needs to do to cover the rental costs is earn at least $250* in fares per week by driving with GrabCar. That's an average of just 2-3 trips daily!

Mr. Neo Kok Hua, 45, who recently rented a car with the plan, highlights how simple it is to meet that requirement, "If you drive diligently during the peaks, $250 is actually quite a comfortable number to hit." 

The plan also provides the driver a degree of flexibility. After he has completed the few hours of driving with Grab, the car is at his full disposal for the rest of the day.

Still not convinced? Here's what some other drivers are saying about the plan - "The '$0 Rental Plan' is a great way to cover the cost of renting a car," said Mr. Christie Sim, 26, a part-time Grab driver. "I found that Grab gives me the ability to earn more money than a lot of other jobs, especially at my age," adds Mr. Russell Mcdowell, 21, a full-time Grab driver. 

Ultimately, Grab's '$0 Rental Plan' may be the smartest and easiest way to enjoy a car in Singapore. As Mr. Sim puts it, "I would say just go for it. Buying a car in Singapore is expensive, so renting a car and being able to cover the rental costs gives me lesser worries."
