Hino is one of the fore-leading truck-makers in incorporating Hybrid Technology into its commercial vehicles lineup. The local authorised dealer for Hino, Borneo Motors, has revealed the latest Hino 300 Hybrid light duty. The debut of the Hino 300 Hybrid further solidifies the firm’s commitment in introducing cutting edge technology for the betterment of its customer, as well as the environment.

Packing the latest generation Hybrid technology, the Hino 300 hybrid saves up to 30% fuel when compared to the normal diesel variant. The drivetrain comprises of a 4-cylinder in-line turbo-diesel and a 390V hybrid system. Doing without the conventional electric starter, the hybrid system doubles as the engine starter.
As with the hybrid system found in passenger vehicles, the Hino 300 hybrid utilises the electric motor to provide power assist when moving off the line, and recharges when the truck decelerates. The truck also packs an automatic engine start-stop system to further enhance the fuel economy. The Hino 300 also allows enhanced ease of operation, with a sequential clutch-less gearbox, doing without a third clutch pedal.
Hino and Borneo Motors give back to the society
Playing a part in re-contributing back to the society, Hino & Borneo Motors have jointly donated four Hino 300 light duty truck to the Institute of Technical Education Singapore (I.T.E.). These trucks will be used for practical trainings in Automotive Technology, held by the local institute.
