The standard Civic models are powered by a 1.8-litre i-VTEC engine which produces 140bhp and 173Nm of torque. The performance Civic Si models meanwhile has a 2.4-litre i-VTEC unit which has 201bhp and 230Nm of torque, and comes with a six-speed manual transmission and a standard limited-slip differential.
As for the fuel-efficient models, the Civic Natural Gas variant uses the same 1.8-litre i-VTEC engine as the standard Civic, and produces 110bhp. The Civic Hybrid meanwhile, has a 1.5-litre petrol engine mated to Honda's Integrated Motor Assist system, which has been revised to use lithium-ion batteries. The Civic Hybrid now produces a total of 110bhp and 172Nm of torque when combined with the electric motor.
Among the features available as standard on the new Civic include a 5-inch LCD "Intelligent" Multi-Information Display (i-MID), the Eco Assist technology that helps achieve a more efficient vehicle operation and the new Motion Adaptive Electronic Power Steering System.
