The immigration clearance system at Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints has returned to normal, authorities said on Wednesday (17th May) morning. The system was experiencing intermittent slowness since 5:40pm on Tuesday, resulting in delays at the checkpoints. Traffic is still expected to be heavy during the morning peak hours, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said.
"We apologise for the inconvenience caused to all affected travellers," the ICA said. "We seek travellers' understanding and patience." Motorists can check the Land Transport Authority's One Motoring website for updates on the traffic situation. The ICA has not specified the cause of the problem.
