Over eight years ago, Car Choice was founded in March 2016 and opened its first showroom at Ang Mo Kio a few months later. Today, on 3 January 2025, the brand celebrated the new opening of its latest showroom, which will be a 'Green Showroom', meaning that it will only showcase hybrids and EVs. This is not the brand's first rodeo with Green Showrooms, having launched Singapore's inaugural one in 2019, in line with its commitment to "inspiring a greener lifestyle and contributing to a more sustainable future for Singapore".
The celebrations began around half past two with a huge turnout. Refreshments such as canapes and champagne were provided for guests, who were also treated to an opening Lion Dance performance to "ward away all the bad energy and bring good energy to the business". Car Choice brand partner, Mark Lee, was also in attendance, and participated in the cutting of the ribbon alongside many others, including the brand's founder, Joseph Liauw.

Car Choice's new showroom features a simple design, with its past awards adorning the walls, as well as a visual timeline documenting all of the company's important milestones. In the middle, two cars currently take centrestage: The Toyota Alphard and the Toyota Vellfire. In commemoration of the showroom's opening, Car Choice will be running an exclusive private sale, offering both cars at $20,000 off their usual retail prices.
According to Car Choice Singapore's official website, both the Alphard and Vellfire are powered by a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated engine alongside two electric motors (one on each axle) that offer a combined output of 247bhp and 239Nm of torque, allowing them to complete the century sprint in 9.4 seconds. Performance aside, however, more impressive is the fuel economy promised by both cars: An impressive consumption figure of 17.5km/L.
In line with its green showroom concept, both vehicles on display, the Toyota Alphard and the Toyota Vellfire, are hybrids
As the modern templates for luxury MPVs on the market, the Alphard and Vellfire are also more sumptuous than before on the inside with their captain's chairs and widespread use of soft-touch materials.
Additionally, Car Choice is currently in the midst of a seven-week long showroom at Expo, which runs from 14 December 2024 to 26 January 2025. Founder Joseph Liauw, in his speech at the opening of the brand's Polaris showroom, credited the hardwork of his team as the reason for the company's ever-growing success, reiterating: "Instead of giving excuses, at Car Choice we say "work harder"."
