Works on the new integrated transport hub at Joo Koon is on track and slated for completion by the end of this year.
The new hub will feature a bus interchange located next to the existing MRT station, and will be situated at the first floor of a brand new 16-storey NTUC FairPrice Hub - a $350 million facility to be opened by December 2014. The building will also house a new distribution centre, with facilities that will be able to process goods faster than any of FairPrice's existing centres.
FairPrice and FairPrice Foundation have also announced a $4.3 million donation to NTUC to help low income working families.
