LTA announces temporary adjustments to Circle Line services

In preparation for the opening of the Circle Line Stage 6 (CCL6) in H1 2026, the LTA and SMRT have successfully completed the installation of the new Integrated Supervisory Control System (ISCS) for the Circle Line (CCL) in July 2025.
Now, both organisations are moving into the next phase of works to carry out systems integration testing across the entire CCL. This testing ensures reliable service can be delivered after CCL6 is completed. During this time, longer blocks of engineering hours are needed for the integration and compatibility testing to be carried out safely and rigorously.
To provide these longer engineering hours and facilitate works, train services on the CCL will need to be adjusted from 5 September to 28 December 2025. For this period, train services on the CCL will end earlier at 11:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays and commence later at 09:00am on Saturdays and Sundays. The weekends of 3 to 5 October, 28 to 30 November and 5 to 7 December 2025 will be excluded.
Besides regular bus services and alternative train services, affected commuters will have the option of using shuttle bus services, Shuttle 36 and Shuttle 37, during the late opening period from 05:00am and ending at 09:00am on Saturdays and Sundays. These shuttle buses will serve most of the CCL stations.
Shuttle 36 will run between HarbourFront and Bishan stations, at intervals of 7 -10 minutes. The second service, Shuttle 37, will run between Bishan and Promenade stations, with buses arriving every 3-5 minutes. The shuttle buses will charge the same fares as train journeys.
Looking ahead, the CCL6 will close the loop of the CCL by connecting the HarbourFront and Marina Bay stations via three new stations.
