Kia U.K. has announced two key changes to its senior management team, preparing the business to deliver upon its forward strategy for 2025. Following another record-breaking year for the Korean brand in 2024, the brand hopes that these changes will bolster business performance.
Effective from 3 March 2025, Steve Hicks will assume the role of Kia U.K.'s Marketing Director, with Sanka De Silva taking on the role of Sales Director.
Both moves have been made with Kia's 'Take the Lead' strategy for 2025 in mind, which focuses on introducing the brand's largest number of new EV vehicles in a single year. This will also propel Kia's entry into the light commercial vehicle market for the first time with the Kia PV5.
Hicks previously held the role of Sales Director for Kia U.K. and has played an instrumental role in Kia's sustainable sales growth since joining the brand in 2017. In his new role as Marketing Director, Hicks will lead the brand's marketing function as it enters an important era of product introductions and brand development.
De Silva also joined Kia U.K. in 2017, focusing on strategic dealer marketing communications and retail programmes, before progressing to lead the wider U.K. marketing function. He will now lend his expertise into the role of Sales Director as the brand enters the commercial vehicle sector.
Both men will maintain their equal position on the executive board of directors for Kia U.K., reinforcing the consistency and longevity of the brand's current senior leadership team.
