The EV2 embodies Kia's "Opposites United" design philosophy, featuring strong elements like upright cues inspired by the brand's larger EVs to emphasise its confident SUV stance and character.
Vertical daytime running lights, Kia's latest Star Map Light Signature, a pronounced shoulder line, and robust wheel arches create a distinctive exterior. Wheel options range from 16- to 19-inch designs. Customers can also choose from a wide selection of exterior finishes, including solid, metallic, pearl, and matt. The GT-Line variant further elevates the EV2's lifestyle‑oriented character, featuring bold body‑coloured garnishes and high‑gloss accents on the bumper and lower front grille.
Inside, the EV2 offers an open, calming cabin inspired by a "Picnic Box" concept, with a wraparound dashboard surrounding occupants. It features Kia's latest triple-screen ccNC infotainment system: A 12.3-inch driver cluster, 5.3-inch climate control screen, and 12.3-inch central touchscreen display. Ambient lighting and eco-friendly materials reinforce the modern interior atmosphere. With the rear seats fully slid forward, the EV2 offers 403 litres of boot capacity and a 15-litre frunk.
Built on Kia's dedicated electric platform, the EV2 combines compact exterior dimensions with interior space comparable to larger segments. Customers can choose either a five-seat configuration or a four-seat layout with independent sliding and reclining rear seats.
The EV2 is available with two battery options: A 42.2kWh standard-range battery and a 61kWh long-range battery. Anticipated all-electric driving ranges reach up to 317km for the standard-range version and up to 448km for the long-range version (WLTP pending). Both versions feature a 400V architecture and offer DC fast charging. The standard-range model completes the process in 29 minutes, while the long-range versions take around 30 minutes.
The EV2 also offers a comprehensive suite of ADAS and connectivity features typically found in higher segments. Standard and available systems include Highway Driving Assist 2, Front Collision Avoidance Assist 2.0, Smart Cruise Control 2, Blind-spot View Monitor, Surround View Monitor, and the latest parking assistance technologies.
As only the second fully electric model to be produced at Kia's Zilina plant in Slovakia, the EV2's production will begin in two phases, with the standard-range model beginning in February 2026, followed by long-range and GT-line variants from June 2026.
