Lamborghini moves to confirm the arrival of a Gallardo successor
23 Apr 2013|4,559 views
Volkswagen Group China's Sales and Marketing Chief Soh Weiming had declared that the Gallardo replacement will be launched "in a short time and be able to further progress with Lamborghini."
The successor model will not come with manual transmission while a rear-wheel drive variant is a possibility for future introduction.
A previous report hinted at a Cabrera moniker with a 5.2-litre V10 engine churning 570bhp. It also suggested that it could be due for a 2013 launch, followed by a launch of the Spyder variant. The proximity of this announcement by the VW group gives credence to the earlier report.
If the report pans out to be true, it won't be long till the Gallardo sees its successor.
