LG to introduce new vehicle cybersecurity platform

LG Electronics (LG) and automotive cybersecurity firm Cybellum have announced that they will be introducing a new Cyber Security Management System Cockpit platform at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show.

The platform is said to be able to monitor and maintain vehicle cybersecurity, ensuring that vehicles remain digitally secure and fully compliant with evolving cybersecurity regulations. It is said to be capable of thoroughly analysing a vehicle's components over the course of its lifespan and generate as well as maintain a comprehensive database spanning development and real-world usage that will allow it to address security concerns and track response efficacy.

The platform also enables real-time risk detection and inspection protocols for individual components and can additionally actively evaluate newly-identified threats and their possible impact on manufacturers' parts, enhancing overall security reliability.
