Limited edition M3 Competition Coupe lands in Singapore

BMW Asia has announced the launch of the M3 Coupe Competition edition. Built to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of BMW M division, only 450 units will be made, with eight of them bound for the local market.

The limited edition coupe will only come in Frozen Silver Metallic, a special matt-finish paint in the BMW Individual selection. Exterior trims, such as hood intakes and kidney-grille surrounds will be chromed in contrasting black, with the 19-inch alloys carried over from the M3 GTS.

The car also received technical tweaks in the form of 10mm height reduction, wider rims offset, as well as a re-programmed ECU with higher-threshold and an up-rated Electronic Damper Control. With a 420hp 4.0-litre V8, coupled to a dual-clutch M DCT transmission, the Coupe is good for a 0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds.

The BMW M3 Competition Edition Coupe will be available from local M distributor, Munich Automobile.
