Local manufacturer Scorpio Electric launches its X1 electric bike

Local electric motorcycle manufacturer Scorpio Electric has launched the X1 electric bike.
Named after the most powerful star in the Scorpio constellation, the X1 is described as sporting an ergonomic design, while being engineered for a new generation of lifestyle riders to conquer any city adventure.


The powertrain of the Scorpio X1 is housed within its single-sided swingarm, and is good for a top speed of 105km/h, as well as a range of 200km on a single charge.
The Scorpio X1 also comes with a proprietary mobile application that seamlessly connects to the bike to offer connected features such as keyless entry and remote locking and unlocking. Users can also look forward to easy access to real-time information regarding the bike, including battery status and estimated range, and receive alerts regarding adverse conditions of their riding route, all via the app.
An array of sensors built into the Scorpio X1 also allows to bike to collect live data and conduct AI-assisted predictive analysis for enhanced efficiency.
The Scorpio X1 retails for USD$9,800 and can be pre-ordered with a USD$1,000 deposit via Scorpio Electric's website here. Delivery of the X1 is scheduled to start from late 2022.
