LTA announces lower ERP rates and shorter VEP operating hours

As reported by The Straits Times, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced on Monday (23^rd May) that Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) at selected roads and expressways will be reduced while Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) operating hours will be shortened for the upcoming June school holidays. The revised rates and operating hours will take effect from Saturday, the 28^th of May till the 26^th of June.

A total of 23 gantries will have their rates reduced by $1 during the time periods specified by the LTA. The reduction will be $0.50 for those gantries - the two at Bendemeer Road and Woodsville Tunnel, as well as the one at Dunearn Road - with ERP rates of $0.50. Refer to this list for the gantries involved.

Meanwhile, VEP operating hours will end earlier at 12:00pm on weekdays during the same period. Drivers of foreign-registered cars and motorcycles are exempted from paying any VEP fees if they drive into Singapore after 12:00pm and leave by 2:00am the following day.
