LTA calls tender for six short feeder bus services

In an aim to provide better connectivity to MRT stations and bus interchanges, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) has called a tender for private operators to run six short bus services.

Six feeder services, which will overlay the crowded stretches of current bus routes, will operate during weekday peak hours and provide more frequent services for commuters travelling to MRT stations or bus interchanges. Up to five more trips for each service will run during peak periods, between 6:30am to 8:30am and from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

The services that will be replicated are 265 in Ang Mo Kio, 285 in Clementi, 811 and 812 in Yishun, 903 in Marsiling, and 913 in Woodlands.

This is part of the Transport Ministry's plan to enhance existing bus services with the help of private bus operators. The Government will also add around 40 new routes and 550 new buses to improve the bus network under the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP).
