LTA to close Simei and Tanah Merah MRT stations for 10 days

In a Facebook post, the LTA has said that to facilitate the connection of tracks from the East-West Line (EWL) to the new East Coast Integrated Depot (ECID) and to connect a new platform at Tanah Merah station, starting from 29 November to 8 December 2025, there will be no train services between the Bedok and Tampines MRT stations, as well as the Tanah Merah and Expo stations.

During this period, commuters are urged to take shuttle services that will operate between Paya Lebar and Bedok stations, Expo and Changi Airport stations, and Tampines and Pasir Ris stations.

Bus Shuttle 7 will service those travelling to and from Bedok to Tampines station. It will run every three to five minutes between Bedok, Tanah Merah, Simei, and Expo stations.

Bus Shuttle 8 will service those travelling to and from Bedok to Expo station. It will run every 10 minutes between Bedok, Tanah Merah, and Expo stations.

Fares for both shuttle bus services will follow the same fare structure as trains.
