This year, Taiwanese boy band Mayday are marking the 15th anniversary since the release of their debut album - and local fans can celebrate the milestone in a big way later this year. Singapore GP is pleased to announce that the critically acclaimed Taiwanese group will headline the 2014 Singapore Grand Prix on Friday, 19th September.

They have also been honoured with over 150 music awards, including Best Band for the Golden Melody Awards - Taiwan's equivalent of the Grammy Awards - in 2001, 2004, 2009 and 2012 - the Global Chinese Music Awards and the CCTV MTV Music Awards, amongst others.
Citing the Beatles as their influence, Mayday is recognised around the world for their highly energetic live performances and melodic Mandarin-language anthems.
Mayday has performed to over 10 million fans around the globe via a 1,000 concerts in major cities including Los Angeles, London, Kuala Lumpur and New York.
They performed to sellout concerts in Hong Kong, Japan and China - and all 100,000 tickets for the opening night to their Nowhere World Tour at the Bird's Nest stadium in Beijing were sold out in less than three minutes.
Entry to Mayday's concert along with other performances in Zone 4 is included with any three-day Singapore Grand Prix ticket or Friday Zone 4 Walkabout ticket. Tickets are available for sale at www.singaporegp.sg, via the ticketing hotline 6738 6738 as well as authorised agents.
In addition, a limited number of Friday Zone 4 Walkabout tickets are currently available at $38 for Singaporeans and Singapore residents - albeit only for over-the-counter purchases at all Sistic outlets in Singapore, with a maximum of four tickets allowed per transaction.
