Mazda marks 20th anniversary of MX-5 with limited edition roadster

Since the MX-5's launch in 1989, the car, through its three generations, has been a runaway success, and has been recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's most produced two-seat, open-top sports car, with more than 860,000 units made so far, and being sold in over 60 countries.

The special 20th anniversary edition is based on the current version of the MX-5, and is available either as a soft-top, with a six-speed manual gearbox, or the optional retractable hard-top version, with a six-speed automatic transmission.

Among the special equipment found on the 20th anniversary edition include exclusive "20th Anniversary" badges, clear front fog lights, 17 inch aluminium wheels, unique red and black Recaro seats with a five temperature heating function, and a fabric soft top with a rear glass window for the soft top version. The 20th anniversary edition will come in a unique shade of Crystal White Pearl Mica.
