So, to announce a revised Mazda6, they went for the boring stuff straight away. No fake smoke, and pretty show girls here. Oh no. Mazda went right for the company accountants, by announcing that the 2011 Mazda6 emits 10 g/km less CO2, than the previous model!
Now, you might be thinking "Oh joy! I've just wasted my time, because that means absolutely nothing to me". But, if you're a company accountant, you're probably doing cartwheels right now.
You see, by lowering vehicle emissions, the Mazda6 now qualifies for a (corporate) tax break, along with reduced registration taxes.
As a result, Mazda is hoping that it can sell 25,000 2011 Mazda6's to fleet customers this year. And all jokes aside, that would be a nice sales figure for the Japanese car firm to have.
Aside from the "thrilling" emissions numbers, the 2011 Mazda gets some cosmetic styling upgrades, and some new options. Which include; front & rear parking sensors, swivel-type headlights, Hill Launch Assist, and 'Smart' turn signals.
