McLaren is celebrating 10 years since the P1 first made its appearance at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, 60 years after the firm was founded by Bruce McLaren.
Exclusive and highly desirable when it was first revealed, the McLaren P1 sold out within mere months of reveal, and all 375 cars were allocated soon after. Build of the first of the 375 McLaren P1 models, finished in Ice Silver, was completed in September 2013, while the final customer-ordered car was completed in December of 2015.

The McLaren P1 came equipped with a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 producing 727bhp, which combined with a lightweight electric motor producing 176bhp to give the car a total system output of 903bhp. Its acceleration figures remain astonishing today, with the zero to 100km/h sprint completed in just 2.8 seconds.
This strong performance, alongside its instant throttle response and torque infill conclusively proved that electrification could truly enhance modern turbocharged powertrains, paving the way for modern high-performance hybrid vehicles such as the McLaren Artura.
